Several articles in our review reported that these services were effectively provided by students or faculty, 12,22,33,35,40 These findings are in contrast to a survey by Anderson,which reported that 58% of respondents thought that students were not capable of extending service provision of the pharmacy department," With appropriate procedures, these services could be extended or expanded using students on clerkship rotations. Student and faculty interventions demonstrated significant cost reductions, and Brockmiller et al demonstrated net positive impact when the training cost of the student is included in the analysis.…”
