Abstract:This article presents a versatile way to design Nichols' charts on small computers. First, this control problem is formulated in terms of open‐loop and closed‐loop transfer functions. Next, the plotting equations are solved by means of the Gnuplot version 3.0 program. When needed, the printing process is realized via an EMTEX postscript output provided by this program.
