Abstract:We consider the computations of the action ground state for a rotating nonlinear Schrödinger equation. It reads as a minimization of the action functional under the Nehari constraint. In the focusing case, we identify an equivalent formulation of the problem which simplifies the constraint. Based on it, we propose a normalized gradient flow method with asymptotic Lagrange multiplier and establish the energy-decaying property. Popular optimization methods are also applied to gain more efficiency. In the defocus… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
