Concept of Monitoring and Diagnostics of Artificial Airfield Pavements

Abstract

The paper clarifies the terms related to the inspection and monitoring of airfield pavements for major repairs and reconstruction and their restoration.The paper presents an improved methodology for assessing the condition of the pavement, establishing the residual life and assignment of repairs to the new visual and instrumental inspection. establishing the need and procedure for monitoring and diagnostics of artificial airfield pavements to create a database of the airfield pavement management system.
