On the other hand, several studies conducted in Taiwan showed that the geometric mean of urinary 4-NP concentration was 2.90–4.10 ng/mL for Taiwanese pregnant women with a mean age range of 31.0–33.4 years [ 21 , 22 , 23 , 24 ]. Given that 4-NP levels do not significantly differ by sex, the geometric mean of urinary 4-NP concentration in the Korean population is assumed to be similar to that in the Taiwanese population and much higher than that in the U.S. population.…”
