Abstract:Heart rate variability (HRV) has the characteristics of non stationary and transient fluctuation. In this paper, we propose using the autoregressive conditional heteroskedasticity (ARCH) to analyze such fluctuations. Analytical methods include using auto-regressive moving average model to eliminate sequence trends and correlativity, using the F-test method to determine whether there is ARCH effect in residual sequence, while giving an acceptance probability of ARCH effect. The fluctuations of HRV in congestive… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
