“…DBD is a broad term used to describe children who have been diagnosed with attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), conduct disorder (CD), or oppositional defiant disorder (ODD), and who share a chronic pattern of behavioral problems and symptoms common to these highly comorbid disorders (Frick, ; Frick & Nigg, ; Hinshaw, ; Loeber et al., ; Waldman, Lilienfeld, & Lahey, ). DBD are among the most prevalent childhood disorders (Handwerk, Field, Dahl, & Malmberg, ), affecting 5%–10% of children (Loeber, Burke, Lahey, Winters, & Zera, ). Studying antisocial lie‐telling among children with DBD in comparison to TD children provides insight into individual differences in children's deception, which has implications for both theory and practice.…”
