“Confessions of a Silencer”: Criticism and Subversion in Contemporary Jordanian Literature

Abstract: This paper examines the subversion in contemporary literary writing in Jordan . It uses the works of three prominent Jordanian writers, Jamāl Nājī, Ayman al-ʿAtūm, and Muʾnis al-Razzāz, as case studies to explore how these authors critique Jordanian society and politics.
