Abstract:The IEEE 802.15.4 standard aims at power friendly and flexible implementation of a virtually unlimited number of wireless, low data-rate monitoring and control applications. The focus of this paper is on an optimized design of a configurable multi mode digital transceiver complying with IEEE 802.15.4. The performance is evaluated in terms of power and area consumption and substantial improvements are achieved as compared to a standard design.
