Abstract:
Herein I confirm the presence of Pithecia aequatorialis in the Ecuadorian Amazon. The discovery of seven records, five corresponding to specimens deposited in museums and two from photographs taken in the field in the last decade, confirmed its presence in the province of Pastaza, between the Curaray River (right bank), to the north, and Bobonaza (left bank, middle course) and Conambo rivers (left bank, middle and lower course), to the south, in an altitudinal range of 180 to 405 m.
