Conflict may occur in any organization (and hence school) and, for schools, conflict management style is a joint activity and the degree of its effectiveness determines the type of impact of conflict on school performance. This empirical study investigates the potential sources of conflict in Greek primary schools, determine appropriate approaches for the handling of conflicts and offers recommendations, based on the findings, for a more creative conflict management style in order to enhance school performance. Anonymous questionnaires were distributed to primary school educators in two Greek regions, one of which was the metropolitan area of Athens, resulting in a sample of 414 completed questionnaires. The results showed that school conflicts often arise in the school and that when school conflicts did occur they were mainly attributed to both interpersonal and organizational reasons. Moreover, the results showed that there is a greater likelihood for these conflicts to arise in urban schools than in other regions. This study supports the view that integration, collaboration and coherence are the key factors for cultivating a constructive conflict management strategy and enhancing better school performance.

To enhance performance of employees of commercial banks, it is imperative to improve harmony, develop favorable relationship and alleviate relationship conflict among them. To ascertain the viability of assertion, sample of 450 individuals belonging to different commercial banks was selected. Questionnaire comprising three components were sent directly to the sample target. Part first relates to general information, second part consist of relationship conflict, and last part relates to the employee's performance. The study delineates that relationship conflict has significant impact on employees' performance. Their performance depletes ranging between 28 percent and 46 percent due to relationship conflict. The model is significant at the 95% of confidence level (p<0.05) and there is negative relationship between relationship conflict and employee's performance. This study provides novel results regarding previously unexplored domain of relationship conflict and employee's performance. Relationship Conflict is dangerous for organizations employees, so top hierarchy strives to get rid of relationship conflict rather than relegating its resolution. Management in organization establishes redress grievances & interactive cell comprising senior, middle and lower level management. Special strategies may be adopted to lessen relationship conflict amongst the employees of an organization enabling organization to improve their performance. It is imperative to provide smooth functioning in the commercial banks due to their promising role in today's scenario of economic growth and imbued consumer's expectation. This paper is an endeavor to unveil factors impinges disagreement among employees and subsequently yielding the solution. Adoptions to these solutions being novel in nature would enhance employee's performance in commercial banks considerably.

Κατά την έρευνα του Rahim (2001), το μέγεθος της σχολικής μονάδας είναι παράγοντας ο οποίος επηρεάζει την επιλογή της τεχνικής κατά τη διαχείριση των συγκρούσεων, καθώς σε μεγάλες σχολικές μονάδες που αποτελούνται ταυτόχρονα και από πολυπληθείς συλλόγους διδασκόντων οι συμβιβαστικές λύσεις που απαιτούν χρόνο και καλή διάθεση από τους εμπλεκομένους, συχνά δεν αποτελούν την κατάλληλη μέθοδο επίλυσης της σύγκρουσης.…”

<p>Η εμφάνιση συγκρούσεων ανάμεσα στο ανθρώπινο δυναμικό των δημοτικών σχολείων είναι ένα σύνηθες φαινόμενο, η αποτελεσματική διαχείριση του οποίου συμβάλει καθοριστικά στην ομαλή λειτουργία της σχολικής μονάδας και στην εκτέλεση της αποστολής της. Για την επιτυχή επίλυση των προβλημάτων που προκύπτουν από αυτές βαρύνουσα σημασία έχουν τα χαρακτηριστικά των στελεχών που αναλαμβάνουν την επίλυση της σύγκρουσης, καθώς και οι τεχνικές που χρησιμοποιούνται για τη διαχείρισή της. Στο παρόν άρθρο γίνεται μια γενική επισκόπηση των προσεγγίσεων που αναφέρονται στις τεχνικές διαχείρισης των συγκρούσεων στις σχολικές μονάδες και περιγράφεται το περιεχόμενο έρευνας που πραγματοποιήθηκε σε Δημοτικά Σχολεία της Ελλάδας. Στη συνέχεια αναλύονται αποτελέσματα έρευνας που πραγματοποιήθηκε, η οποία αφορά στα χαρακτηριστικά όσων διαχειρίζονται συγκρούσεις στα δημοτικά σχολεία και αξιολογείται η αποτελεσματικότατα τους ανάλογα με τα χαρακτηριστικά τους και τις τεχνικές που χρησιμοποιούνται από αυτούς. Στο πλαίσιο μιας γενικής συζήτησης συγκρίνονται τα εν λόγω αποτελέσματα με τα αποτελέσματα άλλων σχετικών ερευνών. </p>
