Conformable transducers for large-volume, operator-independent imaging

Abstract: While ultrasound's cost, safety and interesting contrast mechanisms are of great clinical value, its operatordependence, extensive sonographer training needs, uncompetitive scan times, poor ergonomics and low reproducibility in serial studies limit its proliferation.
