Conformer-specific polar cycloaddition of dibromobutadiene with trapped propene ions

Abstract: Diels–Alder cycloadditions are efficient routes for the synthesis of cyclic organic compounds. There has been a long-standing discussion whether these reactions proceed via stepwise or concerted mechanisms.
