Bacterial endocarditis was recorded in a female (Titoff, 1925), ulcerative colitis and lung abscess in a male (Alexander, 1958) and Waterhouse-Friderichsen syndrome in a male (Myerson and Koelle, 1956). This last report is of particular interest as the type of infection noted was of the same character as many described following splenectomy.…”
