Abstract:Background
Congenital atrio-ventricular block (CAVB) affects 1 in 15,000 live births with a mortality rate of 16–30%. It can be associated with congenital heart disease (CHD) or maternal autoantibodies and, less commonly, with viral infections or drug side effects.
