“…Finally, we interpret that the respondents who extracted NTFPs had greater willingness to reforest because it is an economic resource, as was found in Soe and Yeo-Chang (2019). It is remarkable that in spite of the high commercial value of Quillaja saponaria (Quillay) bark, the high medicinal value of Peumus boldus (Boldo) leaves, and the medicinal use of other common native trees and shrubs of central Chilean forests (García & Ormazábal 2008), none of them were mentioned by the respondents. Rather, those who would choose to reforest cited two tree species that occur 500 and 800 km south.…”

On the east side of the condominium is a police checkpoint and on the west is a consolidated plaza which separates the neighborhood from the Pan-American Highway.…”

“…For the duplex units, there is an area of 3 x 6 meters on each floor and an empty space of the same size between each duplex. This space is where the duplex units are expected to be expanded in the future (Aravena, Arteaga, García-Huidobro, 2008). 1 Un Techo para Chile is a Latin American non-governmental organization.…”

“…Goran Ivo Marinovic Limits of the current implementation of incremental housing expansion of the internal living areas. 16 Although the houses were designed to be extended by the inhabitants as a self-build process, in reality the actual construction was carried out by the building company Simonetti. The subsequent extensions were sponsored by the Chilean government in the form of a second subsidy given to the families.…”
