Stenting of ostial side-branch or aorta-ostial lesions is challenging. Difficulty in ostial nailing results from the unfavorable anatomy and diagnostic challenges in delineating the ostial plane, expertise required in fine manoeuvrability of gears, struggle in optimal stent positioning. The quandary of ostial stenting may be demystified with careful understanding of the anatomy and challenges faced during ostial stenting along with the various techniques. In this review, the authors shed light on different methods used for precise ostial stent placement.
