Considering the Issue of Renovating Public Buildings With Reference to in-Kind Investigations Into Wall Heat Transfer Coefficients / Visuomeninių Pastatų Atnaujinimo Problemos Nagrinėjimas Remiantis Natūriniais Sienų Šilumos Perdavimo Koeficientų Tyrimais

Abstract: This article raises the problem of high energy consumption stimulated by heating buildings and preparing hot water. The paper shortly revises the state of renovating public buildings in Lithuania. A number of scientists devote close attention to examining various aspects of building renovation (technical regulations on constructions, subsidies provided by the state, cost-effectiveness, factors influencing building renovation, etc.). The article presents a few studies by foreign scientists, lists factors that d… Show more

“…Sustainable building development is topical today and is taken into consideration by various researchers. They analyse problems related with energy efficiency and building's envelope (Ourghi et al 2007;Parasonis et al 2012;Yüksek, Esin 2013;Kazanasmaz et al 2014); building materials (Binici et al 2014;Pajchrowski et al 2014); analyse importance of buildings' modernisation (Staniūnas et al 2013;Volvačiovas et al 2013a); create strategies related with building upgrading (Volvačiovas et al 2013b;Itani et al 2013).…”

“…Different characteristics of buildings were determined [3]: physical deterioration of buildings, absorption of facades, outdoor air temperature, indoor air temperature, relative humidity, floor temperature, surface (ceiling) temperature, carbon dioxide concentration, U-value. Thermovision was performed and economic calculations were made.…”

“…Potentially, the market for new high efficient technologies in the insulation sector is unlimited. Even when taking into account the diversity of insulation needs across Europe (depending, for instance, on climate specificities), all individual homes, buildings and industries could be the target of these technologies [3]. However, innovative technologies represent a small share of the total turnover of the insulation market in the European Union (around 5%).…”
