Constant envelope OFDM RadCom fusion system

Abstract: A joint radar and wireless communication (RadCom) fusion system is an important trend for future intelligent transportation, such as the Internet of Vehicles (IOV). However, traditional joint orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM)-based RadCom fusion system suffers from the problem of high peak-to-average power ratio (PAPR) of transmission signals, leading to nonlinear distortion in high power amplifiers (HPAs). To solve this problem, a new constant envelope OFDM RadCom approach is proposed in this … Show more

“…However, OFDM waveforms also have drawbacks such as high peak-to-average power ratio, and sensitivity to Doppler and phase noise, which need to be optimized. For example, the design of constant envelope-orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (CE-OFDM) could be used to mitigate the problem of nonlinear distortion in high power amplifiers resulting from high peak-to-average power ratios of conventional OFDM [5]. In addition, filter-bank multicarrier (FBMC) has been considered in [6] as a waveform with integrated sensing and communication.…”

“…In the actual design process, the operation principle of the control system shall be combined to ensure that the controller processing unit, the forward/backward channel and the external interface play their respective roles [7][8][9]. On the one hand, it is necessary to design the forward channel, integrate the power of inclination and acceleration sensors, and exert the advantages of rotary encoder and tension sensor, so as to ensure a certain adjustment effect.…”
