“…In addition, a previous study has shown that activating the Wnt signal by βcatenin resulted in excessive predentin production by odontoblasts (Kim et al, 2011), which supports our finding. Importantly, constitutively activated β-catenin in odontoblasts resulted in disorganization and depolarization of incisor odontoblasts (Deng et al, 2021), which was similar to the results of Rainbow mice. Also, we believe that the loss of the odontoblast process may inhibit the generation of dentinal tubules, as previously reported (Chang et al, 2019).…”

“…According to the report, osteodentin was formed in the molar pulps after deleted Bmp2 using Osx - Cre [ 17 ]. Knockdown β-catenin using Col1 - Cre ERT2 resulted in aberrant pulp calcification in mouse incisors [ 30 ]. The above findings suggested that osteodentin in the incisors of Stat3 CKO mice was most likely to be caused by Stat3 -deficiency.…”

“…Previous studies have revealed the indispensable role of Wnt/ β-catenin signaling in tooth development (Deng et al, 2021;Kim et al, 2011). However, it was more reasonable and convincing that we explored the role of Wnt signaling only in those Axin2-expressing Wnt-responsive cells, as Axin2 is expressed in cell populations responsive to Wnt/β-catenin signaling.…”

“…Emerging evidence demonstrated that the level of β‐catenin has a great impact on tooth morphogenesis (Bae et al, 2013; Kim et al, 2013). The failure of degradation of β‐catenin constantly activates Wnt signaling, which is related to aberrant pulp calcification and dental ankylosis in mice (Deng et al, 2021; Wu et al, 2019).…”
