These Pleistocene sediments commonly contain wood remnants, but few results of their dating by the 230 Th/U method have been published up to now (de Vernal et al, 1986;Oschadleus et al, 1996;Allard et al, 2012). Wood remnants are found in so-called stump layers, but occur as trunk and branch fragments as well.…”
