Construction of a ratio fluorescence assay of 5-aminosalicylic acid based on its aggregation induced emission with blue emitting N/P-codoped carbon dots
Abstract:Herein, a novel ratio fluorescence method based on N/P-doped carbon dots (NPCDs) for detecting 5-aminosalicylic acid (5-ASA) in mesalazine enteric coated tablets and blood were reported for the first time.
“…Yue et al prepared carbon dots ( B43 ) via one-step hydrothermal synthesis from ATP and p -toluidine which emits bright blue fluorescence at 423 nm with a PLQY of 20.75%. 220 Significant blue emission enhancement was observed when 5-ASA, an inflammatory bowel disease treatment drug with weak emission at 487 nm, was added to B43 . This was attributed to the formation of aggregate between the two compounds, leading to the AIE of 5-ASA and ratiometric increase in intensity of 5-ASA's 487 nm emission relative to B43 's 423 nm emission.…”

In this study, carbonized polymer dots (CPDs) were first proposed for the quantitative detection of chlortetracycline (CTC) based on aggregation induced emission. CPDs were synthesized by one-step hydrothermal assay using...
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
