Abstract:Sulfonated carbon nanoflowers (SCNFs) were prepared by carbonizing polyacrylonitrile (PACN) as carbon nanoflowers (CNFs) and subsequent sulfonation of CNF. By integration of SCNF with a Nafion matrix, a hybrid membrane was constructed, which exhibited effectively enhanced proton conducting and methanol blocking abilities. Benefiting from the highly rough surface and multidirectional channels of SCNF as well as abundant interaction sites between SCNF and Nafion, the proton conduction pathways were well regulate… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
