Abstract:An analytical dependence was obtained that describes the patterns of friction stress distribution in the contact zone of roller mechanisms. The patterns of distribution of friction stresses from external forces acting on the roll supports, geometric and kinematic parameters of the roller mechanism, and strain properties of the processed material and elastic coatings of the rollers were determined. Mathematical models of friction stress of roller mechanisms were developed, considering the kinematics of the cont… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
