Abstract:Endosymbiotic dinoflagellates of the family Symbiodiniaceae are symbionts essential to corals and other marine organisms. A coral holobiont consists of the coral host, Symbiodiniaceae, and other microbes that together sustain the overall productivity and coral health. Coral hologenome data, generated from all interacting components of a coral holobiont, are key for elucidating the molecular mechanisms that underpin the resilience of the holobiont to changing environments. Although coral hologenome data are oft… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
