“…Moreover, this study highlighted that small MPs were the most dominant in all three species (0.5-1 mm), as previously reported by Bellas et al [68] in fish species from the Spanish Mediterranean and Atlantic coasts, and Filgueiras et al [54] in pelagic and benthic fish from the northwestern Iberian Plateau.
