Contar con todo: análisis de las estrategias intermediales en la novela Conjunto vacío, de Verónica Gerber Bicecci

Abstract

The novel Conjunto vacío (2015, 2017), by Verónica Gerber Bicecci, exhibits a writing composed of verbal text, drawings and geometric forms. In other words, it uses intermedial strategies. Intentionality being key to the differentiation of an intermediate artistic object, we propose to analyze how intermediality is motivated by the plot the story, how the narrative constitutes a reflection on the narration process and exhibits what an intermedial narrative can be. To do this, we will explain the intermedial categories we are working with; how the technique of collage is used to build the narration; we will delve into the reflection that is proposed on different forms of writing: Gerber Bicecci is interested in the mechanisms and processes of coding and decoding. Finally, we will study the visual narratives that emerge from the combination of two media: words and drawing, and we will propose a typology of the different strategies used in the novel.
