Abstract:Neural Network (NN) filters improve the perceptual quality of reconstructed videos by reducing compression artefacts. For content adaptation, a few NN-filters use over-fitting. As the adaptation signal is a weight-update, compression is required to minimise significant bitrate overheads. Most approaches, however, use generic data compression algorithms, which are inadequate for coding NN weight-updates. This work introduces a content-adaptive NN post-processing filter with weight-updates coded using the Neural… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
