The paper sets out to present the experience of organizing students' online educational internship. The educational internship for the bachelors of Education, majoring in Health and Safety & Physical Education, is introductory, the first one in the curriculum. The distance educational internship was organized on the MS Teams digital platform using team work. The students' online activities involved analyzing scientific, popular science, methodological and official information on health and safety and physical education, as well as on the disciplines that provide the meta-subject approach and inter-subject communications when teaching these subjects at school. The key methods were the project method and the case method. The students were given different cases, such as to analyze the content of video clips and websites, to develop environmental excursions and algorithms for modeling the volcano, to determine the optimal physical recreation and its components for people of different ages. The main advantages of students' distance educational internship are a larger number of tasks completed by students compared to the full-time format, the use of different methods and technologies to organize students' team work. The main problems concerning the distance educational internship include teachers significantly overloaded with the task development and evaluation, the long hours students spend working at the computer and technical issues. It is important to find a reasonable compromise between the amount of the proposed work with the information, the optimal time and safe operation in an electronic environment when organizing internships in an online format.

“…We have shown that representatives of the Z-generation have signs of a smart-dependence, which are already forming by the beginning of school. Studies (Alwagait, Shahzad, & Alim, 2015;Shen & Kuo, 2015;Smith, Hewitt, & Skrbiš, 2015;Stornaiuolo, 2017) which were conducted among students also showed that the use of Internet space in learning, along with the expansion of the information field, contributes to the demotivation of the acquisition and using of basic knowledge, reduces the overall motivation to learn, contributes to the formation of dependence, which is compounded by the widespread use of portable (smart) devices. Obtained data raises the question of understanding and developing safe standards for the duration of work by students of different ages with gadgets, the age of first contact and the development of the Internet by a child.…”

The relevance of the research resulting from the widespread introduction information space and computer technology into the educational process, which, along with indisputable advantages, is accompanied by risks, the least studied in terms of prediction. Due to the fact that by 2025, according to the project "Modern Digital Educational Environment in the Russian Federation", a digital educational space should be created, the aim of this research is to study the digital competence of future teachers and the attitude of parents to the implementation of this trend. During the research were used methods of surveys and interview: 258 first-year students (future teachers) and 365 parents of elementary school pupils were interviewed. The article substantiates necessity to study the behavior of the children using devices and gadgets, which should be taken into account designing the educational process of future teachers, as both teachers and students must have a reliable and objective notion about a degree of children immersion in the information space, digitalization risks and the degree of compliance of information and communication skills of pupils and future teachers by the time of their meeting at school. The article presents data on the degree of immersion in the Internet space of future teachers, children who have begun systematic training in rural and urban schools, as well as their parents. The article reflects the attitude of parents to online learning and the control of their children' behavior in the Internet space. The results of the research can be used by teachers and researchers to design and monitor the digitalization of the educational process.

Background. Digital socialization is understood to be mediated by all available digital technological processes for mastering and appropriating a social experience online. Understanding of this new type of socialization requires studying parental mediation strategies for children’s online activity, as well as the level of digital literacy of both children and parents, including through the prism of adolescents’ confrontation with online risks. Objective. To study digital socialization and the role of parents in this process; to reveal relationships between parental user activity, mediation, and digital competence, and adolescents’ user activity, digital competence, and experience of online risks. Design. The study was conducted on the basis of the EU Kids Online 2017–2019 survey methodology. The sample consisted of 1,553 schoolchildren aged 12–17 and 1,219 parents of adolescents the same age, all from the Russian Federation. Results. The findings show that parents underestimate the online risks faced by adolescents, especially the most common communication and content online risks. Adolescents often do not notice parental “restrictive” and “active“ mediation of their online activities. Adolescents’ request for parental help with their online difficulties depends not on the parents’ digital competence, but on their active mediation. In following parental active mediation and safety mediation strategies, adolescents are more likely to face online risks, but at the same time they use active coping strategies. The negative relationship between the adolescents’ digital competence and parental restrictive mediation and technical control suggests that excessive control and limitations hinder the development of knowledge and skills in the safe mastering of the Internet. Conclusion. The digital gap between adolescents and parents is observed both in confrontation with online risks and awareness of this experience, and in the application of parental mediation strategies. Parental active mediation provides stronger digital socialization and more constructive ways of coping with the threats of the digital world – online risks, which are the consequence of deep immersion into this world.
