“…This may also be a more feasible goal than aiming to increase MVPA levels, because the pre-retirement MVPA levels may be relatively high (in this study ≈ 80 min/day). Moreover, a large proportion of pre-retirement daily physical activity comes from worktime physical activity and active commuting 26,51 which may be di cult to compensate after retirement.
