The article discusses the pedagogical possibilities and tasks of creating favorable conditions for the organization of part-time education in higher education institutions in the context of digitalization of education. The article examines the close relationship between the concepts of “distance learning”, “full-time learning” and “part-time learning”. The features of distance learning in vocational education in various countries are analyzed, as well as the transformation of this concept in modern realities. The article examines pedagogical research to identify the difficulties of part-time learning, both on the part of students and on the part of teachers. In addition, the study formulated pedagogical conditions for the implementation of part-time learning using digital technologies in higher educational institutions of Kazakhstan. The study shows opportunities for students to improve their professional knowledge or obtain an academic degree without interrupting their work. It was concluded that part-time education can be implemented on the basis of distance learning technologies, open online courses and online communication.
