Transactions, vol. xvi. * ,, The symptoms commonly observed are the following: a sudden, new, and violent pain, with a sen~tion as if something had given way, is felt in the lower portions of the side; followed by dreadful dyspucea, suppression of expectoration, extreme anxiety and general collapse.
