Control Effects against Mosquitoes Larva of Bacillus thuringiensis subsp. israelensis CAB199 isolate according to Different Formulations

Abstract: Among 18Bacillus thuringiensis isolates with spherical parasporal inclusion from soils, B. thuringiensis subsp. israelensis CAB199 was selected. It was showing over 90% mortality against Aedes aegypti and Culex pipiens moletus. It was confirmed that this B. thuringiensis subsp. israelensis CAB199 isolate also had a insecticidal activity against Culex inatomii that was occurred in the marsh. Because most of mosquito larva were primarily situated or shifted from under-to surface water, we need to select long flo… Show more

“…Compared to the imago stage, mosquito larvae tend to proliferate and gather in static water such as puddles. This feature makes the control of mosquito larvae much more efficient than controlling them at the imago stage [4]. The well-known habitats of mosquito larvae are the puddles generated after rainfall.…”

“…Many larvicides have been developed to kill mosquito larvae, and one of the most promising larvicides is composed of toxic protein crystals extracted from the spores of the Bacillus thuringiensis serotype israelensis (Bti) bacteria [4]. The toxicity is species specific and a low rate of tolerance was observed.…”

“…aizawai를 주요 Bt로 이용하는 반면 Cry3 독소 단백질에 감수성인 딱정벌레류에는 B. thuringiensis subsp. tenebrionis를 이용하여 제작하게 된다(Seo et al, 2010;Park et al, 2015). 반면에 본 연구에서 이용한 비티플 러스의 경우는 파리목에 살충력이 높은 Cry4 독소 기반의 B. thuringiensis subsp.…”
