Control of a ternary voltage progression based cascaded multilevel inverter using classy split multicarrier pulse width modulation

Abstract: In this paper, a new hybrid pulse width modulation technique is proposed to enhance the performance of output voltage from a ternary progression based multilevel inverter. For high power applications, the multilevel inverter can appropriately replace the traditional converter without a transformer and the separate DC sources will be indispensable for various renewable energy sources.
