Control strategy for suppressing the shafting oscillation of the grid‐connected DFIG ‐based wind power generation system

Abstract: Summary The shafting oscillation occurs in the grid‐connected doubly fed induction generator (DFIG)‐based wind power generation system may lead to the low‐frequency oscillation in the grid, which can weaken the dynamic stability of the power system. Thus, this paper focus on the shafting oscillation damping control of the DFIG‐based system. The characteristics of the DFIG shafting oscillation is analyzed. In addition, the four control strategies based on the complex torque coefficient method for improving the … Show more

“…The good management of electricity produced by wind turbines requires prior knowledge of the wind. The kinetic energy of the wind is converted into mechanical energy and then into electrical energy using the wind plant . However, a good understanding of the wind turbine operation leads to good energy efficiency later.…”

“…The kinetic energy of the wind is converted into mechanical energy and then into electrical energy using the wind plant. 9 However, a good understanding of the wind turbine operation leads to good energy efficiency later. For this reason, a large number of investigations are focused on the wind turbine generator's control to improve the efficiency and reliability and reduce the costs of the wind turbine system.…”

“…Several studies have tried to prove that wind energy is the fastest‐growing renewable energy field in the world . Although wind energy has been recognized to be sustainable over the 40 past years, several critical questions continue to guide scientific research in this area such as network integration (grid codes, energy quality, and crossover capability) . It is for this reason that Morocco has turned to the production of electricity from renewable sources.…”
