“…To find the phases j (k) sw , we use phase response curves (PRCs) for the CPG oscillators and our previous data on controllable switching between CPG modes. 23,24,26 These data allow us to calculate approximate phases and phase shifts Dj k needed to fulfill the transition. Internal pulses that couple neighboring CPG oscillators largely affect the needed phase shifts Dj k making them smaller or larger.…”

“…22 Pulse induced transitions between the main modes of the CPG unit were tested experimentally. 23 The CPG unit composed of micro-oscillators has been implemented as well. 24 The functioning of the reader R that should differentiate and recognize different CPG modes was investigated computationally 25 and experimentally using an electronic R-unit constructed with the aid of LabVIEW software.…”

“…[16] We developed such a method of switching for the unidirectional coupling of the BZ oscillators and tested it experimentally using macro-reactors. [12] Now we can apply this method to both unidirectional and all-to-all coupling using MRs. For switching pulses, we employ the same computer projector. Note that the time intervals when the projector is used for different types of pulses (coupling and switching pulses) never overlap.…”

“…Unidirectional inhibitory communication between four almost identical BZ oscillators in continuously stirred tank reactors has yielded new stable modes besides the in-phase and anti-phase, and the existence of bistability has been observed both experimentally and theoretically. 13 Hollow inorganic nanospheres (HINS) are popular materials in a wide variety of elds like analytical, bio-and electrochemistry. 14,15 Silica nanoshells are useful ultrasound contrast agents because of their enhanced stability.…”
