Abstract:Layered manganese oxide nanostructures were synthesized by a facile hydrothermal method, using KMnO4 and CH3CH2OH as the precursors. The structure, composition and morphology of the product are evaluated by means of X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and Infrared (IR) techniques. The results showed that crystalline birnessite-based manganese oxide was formed and the hydrothermal time and temperature had great influence on nanostructures of the products. The electrochemical results show… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
