Abstract:Modern pharmaceutical research and development has evolved to rely
heavily on controlled drug delivery systems because they provide creative ways to
improve therapeutic results while reducing side effects. The underlying ideas and
justification for controlled drug delivery systems are covered in detail in this chapter.
