Abstract: Cyrene (dihydrolevoglucosenone) and its derivative Cygnet 0.0, recognized as eco-friendly alternatives to polar aprotic solvents, were utilized in atom transfer radical polymerization (ATRP) of a wide range of both hydrophobic and hydrophilic (meth)acrylates.
