“…The microscopic images of the microcapsules with different dispersed-phase ratios are collected as shown in Figure (D), which demonstrates that our self-constructed multichannel syringe pump system is able to flexibly realize the continuous production of multiphase oil core microcapsules with different dispersed-phase ratios. Compared to the commercial multichannel syringe pumps, such as the two-channel syringe pump (LSP02-1B, Longer Precision Pump Co., Baoding, China) used in our previous work for the preparation of calcium alginate microcapsules with multiphase oil cores, the open-source multichannel syringe pumps in the present work are capable of achieving the same function. Moreover, for the preparation of microcapsules with different dispersion ratios, we need to use at least three commercial syringe pumps with the appropriate hardware and software to implement the appropriate programmed-controlled mode of operation according to the brochure provided by the manufacturer.…”

“…Here, we used this platform to prepare cosmetic microcapsules in a 3D-printed microfluidic chip. More information about the preparation of cosmetic microcapsules can be found in our previous works . Droplet generation experiments were performed on a commercial PDMS microchannel chip.…”

“…Microfluidics use channels ranging in size from tens to hundreds of microns to manipulate micro‐volume (typically 10 −9 to 10 −18 L) fluids precisely (Wu, Chen, Wang, Liu, & Cheng, 2023). It has become a hot research topic to get structurally controlled and dimensionally homogeneous emulsions via constructing microfluidic devices (Yu, Zhou, et al, 2019;Song et al, 2022).…”
