“…We speculate that IVIG may have prevented many infections. It is well documented that IVIG decreases the rate of viral and bacterial infections in children with AIDS (Moffenson & Moye, 1993;Williams et al, 1991). Persistent B19 parvovirus associated anaemia in our patient was treated effectively with long-term maintenance IVIG.…”
