“…Photoinduced ligand-to-metal charge transfer (LMCT) instead of traditional redox processes has proved to be an effective synthetic tool for constructing molecules. 10 Coordination of reactive functional groups with metal complexes enables chemoselective oxidation via direct excitation of metal–ligand complexes, generating reactive radical species to trigger a series of useful transformations, such as C–H functionalization, 11 β-scission, 12 and decarboxylative coupling reactions. 13 Among the transition metals utilized, iron is the most abundant one in the Earth's crust, and the photoactive nature of iron-substrate complexes provides ample opportunity to activate organic molecules and initiate the desired transformations via iron photoredox catalysis.…”

“…Chemie Forschungsartikel decreased yields induced by TEMPO and BHT certified the inclusion of radical processes (entries 5 and 6). [24] According to the above investigations and reported literatures, a plausible mechanism for aerobic oxidative coupling of amines was proposed (Figure 3c). Initially, a PET between excited [PYTC + ]* and benzylamine gives a cationic radical PhCH 2 NH 2 * + and a reducing species.…”
