Abstract:The key pathological mechanisms underlying autism spectrum disorders (ASDs) remain relatively undetermined, potentially due to the heterogenous nature of the condition. Targeted studies of a series of monogenic ASDs have revealed postsynaptic dysfunction as a central conserved mechanism.
