Abstract:Lavandin hydrochars obtained by hydrothermal carbonization (HTC) of Lavandula distilled straw (LDS) have been studied as an eco-friendly and economical valorization route of residual biomass from cosmetic industry into solid fuels. The critical parameters of the HTC process (temperature and retention time) were normalized to severity factor (SF). Proximate and ultimate analysis, microscopy and thermal analysis were used to characterize hydrochars surface, combustion behavior and kinetics as a function of SF, a… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
