Cooler ring facilities

Abstract: The principles and history of electron cooling and stochastic cooling are presented, and the characteristics of a number of existing storage rings, for antiproton accumulation and collection, for low energy antiproton physics, and for atomic and nuclear physics are discussed. Finally, three new proposals for the use of phase space cooling at higher energies are mentioned. longitudinal DiCk.UD
