Cooperative Optimization for OFDMA Resource Allocation in Multi-RRH Millimeter-Wave CRAN

Abstract: Cloud radio access networks (CRAN) has become an excellent network architecture in the fifth-generation wireless communication systems, which can highly increase the capacity and coverage compared with conventional networks. However, in order to provide the best services, appropriate resource management must be applied. This paper considers transmission scheduling of downlink transmission in an OFDMA-based Millimeter-Wave (mmWave) CRAN, where data transmission on each subcarrier (SC) can be used by different r… Show more

“…Furthermore, mmWave communications are more susceptible to blockages such as shadows and building walls and are also affected by atmospheric conditions compared to communications in low-frequency bands. In [133], the author identified transmission scheduling for downlink transmission OFDMA-based mmWave in HetNet. Specifically, a different SA can use the data rate on each subcarrier.…”

“…The authors of [15] optimize energy efficiency (EE) for versatile users under highspeed environments. However, system rate-latency performance cannot be simultaneously taken into account under plentiful types of services, which is confined by unavailability of different numerologies as in [9], [10], [13]- [15].…”

“…To meet the performance needs of giant machine-type communications in the Internet of Things and provide a pleasant service experience for Internet of Things users, mobile network ecological structure and resource management must be improved further [4][5][6][7][8]. A 3GPP-compliant cellular IoT technology, known as NB-IoT, is recognised as being essential for addressing the needs of the Internet of Things [6,[8][9][10]. With very low bandwidth, Narrow Band IoT is implemented in the cellular networks in-band, guard band, and independent carrier.…”
