Cooperative Sensor Selection Optimization and Power-Efficient Gathering for Multihop Wireless Sensor Networks

Abstract: Since a single sensor may be in a fading dip, cooperative sensing among multiple sensors which experience uncorrelated fading is required to guarantee reliable sensing performance. This paper proposes a cooperative sensor selection and power-efficient gathering (CSSPEG) strategy in multihop wireless sensor networks to avoid the "hot spot" problem.
