Copolymerization of Olefins and Conjugated Dienes: A Promising Approach to Produce Recyclable Polyolefins
Biwei Sun,
Bo Liu
Abstract:Creating unsaturated CC bonds within polyolefin main chains can realize upcycling polyolefins into liquid fuels, telechelic polymers, and even propylene monomer via oxidation and metathesis etc, which provides a sustainable developing route for polyolefins. A few strategies, such as dehydrogenation, sequence bromination and dehydrobromination, have been established, however they inevitably involve an additional synthetic step or problematic reagents. In contrast, incorporation of a CC bond into the main chai… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
