Copper-based glass-ceramic as an efficient catalyst in the synthesis of pyrazolo[1,5-a] pyrimidineunder solvent-free condition with docking validation as Covid-19 main protease (Mpro) inhibitor

Abstract: Copper-based oxide glass-ceramic was successfully synthesized through the single-step melt annealing technique. Synthesized glass-ceramics was characterized using X-ray diffraction (XRD) and scanning electron microscopy (SEM) supported with energy dispersive X-ray (EDX) and mapping. Pyrazolo[1,5-a]pyrimidines 5a-f were synthesized via the reaction of 5-amino-1H-pyrazole-4-carboxamide (1) with enaminones 2a-f in the presence of synthesized oxide glass-ceramic catalyst powder under solvent-free condition. The mo… Show more

“…Based on the findings obtained from the previous studies mentioned above, such as the relationships between various human diseases, the biological effects of Schiff bases and the pyrazole scaffold, our research on multi-target agents, and the synthesis of biologically active heterocyclic compounds [25][26][27][28][29][30], we have been encouraged to re-synthesize three sets of pyrazole-based Schiff bases, 5a-f, 6a-f, and 7a-f, from our previous works to evaluate their biological applications, including the antioxidant and scavenging activities, the antidiabetes, anti-Alzheimer's, anti-inflammatory, cytotoxicity, and enzymatic properties. Our goal is to find new candidates with multiple biological applications.…”

“…It was necessary to search for an urgent drug to reduce the effects of this epidemic on humans. This is why my research group, [41][42][43][44][45], has made great efforts to search for a cure for this disease. Initially, a theoretical study should be conducted using drug design programs (MOE) on the suitability of the prepared compounds with the protease enzyme.…”

“…In view of our scientic team targets in medicinal chemistry based on bioactive heterocyclic compounds [36][37][38][39][40][41][42] and the previous-mentioned facts about the relationship between various diseases, applications of isatin derivatives, and various activities of Schiff bases tethered with a heterocyclic scaffold. Hence, the present study aims to explore isatin-based Schiff bases (azomethine) as multi-target agents.…”
