Abstract:Efficient copper-catalyzed radical thiocyanosulfonylation of alkenes and alkynes with potassium thiocyanate and sodium phenylsulfinate is described. The reactions provide general and convenient methods toward the synthesis of β-thiocyanoalkyl sulfones and β-thiocyanoalkenyl sulfones, respectively, in satisfactory yields.
